Hi guys!...
This is my last post...
Education in the early years of adolescence can affect IQ (CI). These are the conclusions reached by a team from the University of Oslo after analyzing the test of intelligence that the Norwegian army realised the men fit for military service.
The CI of the generations with more years of schooling increased by 3.7 points, indicate the authors in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Scientists took the opportunity to study a reform that the Norwegian Government implemented in the 1960s and that increased in two years compulsory education. The analysis was carried out on data from two groups of different men: those who lived in towns where reform was applied at age 14, and those who "escaped" to it by their place of residence. Then analyzed the intelligence test the Norwegian army carried out to all children aged 19 fit for military service, and also the titles of studies completed at the age of 30.
Although the relationship between CI and formal education in previous studies had already shown, this type of work is difficult because previously it had failed to isolate the variables appropriately. It must not forget, either, that CI expresses the results of a test that evaluates cognitive abilities exclusively. Today, many psychologists insist that other factors such as emotional intelligence, play an important role in the professional success of people.
